Please view this 5min u-tube on abductions of, especially Tamils, and Human Righjts activists. Quite a lot of these while van abductions are for ransom, or perceived enemies of the state. They are are all conducted by the Sri Lankan military. Gotebaya Rajapaksa is reported to be the leader of this unit.

A press briefing held on the 26th of March by the “Collective Against Abductions & Disappearances” sheds light on the disappearance of Kugan and Lalith attached to the “Movement for People’s Struggle” who are missing since December 2011, and focuses particularly on the recent threats and intimidation faced by Kugan’s wife who has been actively seeking information on his whereabouts.
