The electricity distribution between Sri Lanka and India, beneath the sea will commence from year 2014. The expenditure towards this project will be approximately 3000 to 4000 billion rupees is according to reports. The electricity distribution from India to Sri Lanka will be constructed below the water by fixing approximately 250 to 300 kilo meters long colossal electricity distribution wires. Through this facility, Sri Lanka will acquire 500 mega volt electricity from India
