Acts Of Betrayal That Broke The Letter & Spirit Of Independence

Dear Friends,

This Is a well researched article, forwarded by Mrs.Usha S Sri-Skanda-Rajah, that delves into the past and exposes the the naivety of the Tamils and the shrewdness, cunningness and wickedness of the Sinhalese. The British was responsible for the Tamil downfall. The Tamils took advantage of the education provided by the mission schools and became English literate, and the British converted them into 'my obedient government servants'. They were not allowed to do any side business or investment in properties in some of the colonial countries.. So they had to buy whatever property they owned, under their housewives' names. This made the Tamils to live with a shrouded mentality. The Tamils became eminent professionals both in the government and private sector, but they shunned business as a menial and uneducated person's job. My father was a contractor, but he, though wealthy, was not respected in Sri Lankan Tamil circles, as he wouldn't get a pension or his wife receive widows and orphan fund pension. When it came to politics, they always looked positively, and swallowed whatever the Sinhalese leaders said without looking at the negative side.

The Sinhalese on the other hand were street wise. What they lost from mission schools, they Buddhist monks made it up by setting up their own schools. As a result they were far behind the Tamils in the government and professional field. That was the reason why they had to get the help of lawyers like Sir.Ramanathan. They were never grateful for whatever help they received from the Tamils; they were simply jealous of the Tamil prosperity and made sure that their properties were destroyed during each of the riots. They were also cunningly planning to convert the country into Sinhala-Buddhist state by driving away all the Tamils from the country and colonising their lands. This gave birth to the Diaspora Tamils. Hopefully the present TNA leadership is fully cognicent of this.. Please read the link below.

Regards,
Visvanathan
