President Rajapaksa visits China


Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa is to leave for Beijing Monday (08) on a four day official visit at the invitation of the Chinese government.
The President and the Sri Lankan delegation are expected to hold bilateral discussions with several high ranking officials of the Chinese Government during this visit.
President Rajapaksa is to apprise the Chinese officials of the current developments in Sri Lanka, especially the

projects funded by China. He is also expected to discuss several urgent issues including the Channel-4 video, sources said.

The Minister of External Affairs Prof.G.L.Pereies, Presedential Secretary Lalith Weerathunga, Secretary to the Tressurey Dr.P.B.Jayasundara and the Governor of the Central Bank Ajith Nivad Cabral also accompanied the President during his visit to China.
