Canadian Immigration Council decided to detain one of the woman refugee out of three travelled by the “Sun C” ship to Canada along with 492 refugees. The decision was taken yesterday. |
Reports states, the woman had worn the “Thali” which is given to the Tamil Eelam Liberation tiger members during their wedding ceremony. Due to this reason, she is detained on suspicion and inquiries processed, whether she has links with Tamil Eelam Liberation tigers. The woman got detention for further inquiry, because her “Thaly” had symbols of two tiger teeth and tiger symbol. Three women and 56 males among the 492 refugees reached Canada by “Sun C” ship are continuously detained and inquired, states reports. |
