ஆஸ்திரியா-இத்தாலி நாட்டின் எல்லையில் பரந்து விரிந்து கிடக்கும் ஆல்ப்ஸ் மலையில் உள்ளது டைசென்ஜாக் என்கிற சிகரம். இங்கு 25 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன் செப்டம்பர் மாதம் 19-ம் தேதி மதியம் 1.30 மணியளவில் இரண்டு ஜெர்மன் சுற்றுலாவாசிகள் உலகையே அசத்தப்போகும் ஒன்றை கண்டுபிடித்தனர். அது 5300 ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன்பு இறந்த மனிதன் ஒருவனின் உடல்.

More than 100 Sinhala prison guards and their student-trainees stormed the hostel residence of Colombo prison Monday night in a raid-like brutal assault targeting 40 Tamil prison guard students, who have been recently selected for training for the jobs of prison guards. The genocidal attack has taken place inside the hostel situated in front of Colombo prison and all the Tamil students are all still being held stripped naked and are subjected to torture and abuse inside the premises, one of the victims managed to inform TamilNet Tuesday evening over the phone. Eight Tamil students have sustained serious injuries, he said. The fate of 23-year-old V. Vasantharajah from Ooraath-thu'rai (Kayts), Jaffna, is not known to the fellow prisoners. He has sustained skeletal injuries, the source further said describing the assault as a genocidal attack.

“This is Sinhala country. You are all Tigers. Why did you come here?,” they asked during the attack.

“Don't you remember what happened to your folks in Welikade,” was another comment coming from the attackers, he said.

இந்நிலையில் எந்திரன்-2ல் மிகப்பெரிய முதலீட்டை "லைக்கா" நிறுவனம் செய்ய முன்வந்திருப்பது அதன் வீழ்சிக்கான அறிகுறியாகவே இருக்கிறது.

பெற்றோல் நிலையங்களில் தினசரி 12 மணி நேரம் தும்படித்தும் மாதாந்த வீட்டு மோகேஜ்யையே கட்ட முடியாமல் திண்டாடும் எம்மவர்கள் மத்தியில் வன்னியில் இருந்து வெறும் கையுடன் வந்த "லைக்கா" முதலாளி மட்டும் எப்படி பல மில்லியனுக்கு அதிபதியானார் ?

1988ம் ஆண்டு இலங்கையின் ஜனாதிபதியாக ரணசிங்க பிரேமதாச ஆட்சியை கைப்பற்றியதும், அவருக்கு பக்கத்துணையாக இருந்த இராணுவத்தில் இருந்து ஓய்வு பெற்றுருந்த லெப். ஜெனரல். ரஞ்சன் விஜையரட்னாவை பாதுகாப்பு அமைச்சராக நியமித்தார். 

அதற்கு முக்கிய காரணம் அந்த நேரத்தில் கொழும்பில் ஆட்சியை கைப்பற்றுவதற்கு JVP என்னும் கெரிலா அமைப்பு, சிங்கள இளைஞர்களைத் திரட்டி ஆயுதப் போராட்டத்தில் குதித்திருந்தது. வடக்கில் தமிழர்களாலும், கிழக்கில் சிங்கள இளைஞர்களாலும், சிங்கள அரசு நெருக்கடியைச் சந்தித்திருந்தது.

ஆங்கிலேயர் குடியேறுவதற்கு முன்பே, ஆஸ்திரேலியாவில் தமிழர் குடியேறினர் என்பதற்கான ஆதாரம் கிடைத்துள்ளது. நியூசிலாந்து பழங்குடிகளான மவோரி மக்கள் மத்தியில் 19-ஆம் நூற்றாண்டில் ஒரு வெங்கல மணியை ஆங்கிலேயர் கண்டெடுத்தனர். அதை அங்குள்ள அரும்பொருட்காட்சிக் கூடத்தில் வைத்துள்ளனர். அம்மணியின் மீதுள்ள வாசகம், 15-ஆம் நூற்றாண்டுத் தமிழில் எழுதப்பட்டுள்ளது. அது பின் வருமாறு : “முகையதீன் வக்குசு உடைய கப்பல் உடைய மணி” என்று காணப்படுகிறது. இதன் மூலம் தமிழக வணிகர்கள் எந்தளவிற்கு தூரக்கிழக்கு நாடுகளுக்கு போய்வந்தனர் என்பதை அறியலாம்.

Similar to Coates characterization of white supremacy that lies at the core of the broken social contract for blacks in the U.S., the Sinhala Supremacy within the ruling elite and Sinhala population in general, is the root of the decades long evil oppression of Tamils, descending to State sponsored mass killing of Tamils leading to genocide. It is ironic that those accused by Coates, the past and current US policy makers, are now aiding and abetting the Sinhala supremacist political class to relegate the Tamils to subservient second class citizenship in the island.

இதற்கான அதிகாரம் மத்திய அரசுக்கே இருக்கின்றது என உச்ச நீதிமன்றம் தெரிவித்துள்ளது.
முன்னதாக ராஜிவ் காந்தி கொலை வழக்கில் முருகன், சாந்தன், பேரறிவாளன் ஆகிய 3 பேரின் தூக்கு தண்டனையை இரத்து செய்த உச்சநீதிமன்றம் ஆயுள்தண்டனையாக குறைத்தது.
மேலும் இவர்களை விடுதலை செய்வது குறித்து மாநில அரசுகள் முடிவு செய்து கொள்ளலாம் என்றும் அப்போதை உச்சநீதிமன்ற தலைமை நீதிபதியாக இருந்த சதாசிவம் தலைமையிலான நீதிபதிகள் குழு உத்தரவிட்டது.

Heroes Day addresses in diaspora slam ‘US-Sri Lanka’ agenda on Tamils

Thousands of Diaspora Eezham Tamils gathered in several cities across the globe on Friday marking Tamil Eelam Heroes Day and passed a sharp message to the unitary State of Sri Lanka and to the powers that steer the UN discourse to whitewash the genocidal State through perfunctory investigations and biased presentations of past crimes for their geopolitical benefits. Eezham Tamils were already aware of the nexus between New Delhi and Colombo. Now, Tamils have also realised the real nature of the smoke-screen discourses in Geneva and New York, which have actualized the ‘US-Sri Lanka consensus resolution’ upholding the Colombo-centric unitary State of Sri Lanka. Eezham Tamil activists of the first- and second-generation diaspora responded with direct messages to the US-Colombo nexus at Oslo in Norway and at Fribourg in Switzerland.

No one can deceive Tamils with the talk of good governance or freedom of expression as having returned to the island until Colombo repeals the 6th Amendment [Article 157A], Murali Sivanandan, the coordinator of Tamil Coordinating Committee (TCC) in Norway, proclaimed in a special address delivered at the Heroes Day event in Oslo.

“We don't regard the lifting of the ban on Tamil diaspora organisations as a meaningful measure until the 6th Amendment remains in force as part of the unitary constitution of Sri Lanka,” Mr Sivanandan said. His address was critical of powers that have committed historical injustice on the nation of Eezham Tamils. The Norwegian conduct during the peace process was of a dubious nature, the activist with EROS background in the homeland from early 1980s said. Sivanandan was associated with legal diasporic-LTTE activities for more than two decades as a TCC activist in Norway.

The Tamil diaspora remains united on the long-term goal, he said. Sivanandan's address concluded that time has come for Tamil diaspora activists and organisations to earnestly collaborate and conceive of a practical strategy to carry forward the Tamil struggle without taking a pro-Establishment line.

Likewise, Lathan Suntheralingam, a post-2009 legal activist of the second-generation who has contributed to the shaping of Tamil diaspora activism in the recent years, urged the second-generation diaspora activists to respond to the challenges posed by the powers by boldly articulating their views against the injustices that have been committed by the powers. The slips of the powers were showing, especially after 2009, he said.

The second-generation Eezham Tamil diaspora activists should learn about Latin American revolutionary leader Ernesto Che Guevara who sacrificed his life in 1967 at the age of 39. He had a vision for the independence of entire Latin America. Eezham Tamils should see how the people of Latin America preserved his charismatic leadership in achieving their individuality in modern politics, he said. The Eezham Tamils have to cherish the positive sides of the Tamil struggle and take forward the international dimensions of the struggle for the betterment of humanity, he said. Establishments reinforce the dispossessed and the oppressed to imagine themselves as victims, and this approach would lead the Tamils to become subservient to the Sinhala people, Lathan told the audience.

The second-generation should also learn about the Ibo people who waged a powerful independence struggle for Biafra and how they lost their cause through famine and surrender. Even the Ibo people of Biafra heritage didn't wish to see Eezham Tamil fighters to surrender like the Ibo fighters were forced to do in 1970. The LTTE fighters didn't surrender the sovereignty of Eezham Tamils at Mu'l'ivaaykkaal, Mr Suntharalingam said urging the Tamil diaspora activists to learn the past struggles, build upon the positive sides and compare the conduct of leaders and fighters involved in the struggle.

Both speakers mentioned the shocking sacrifice by the 18-year-old Senthuran Rajeswaran in Jaffna, who committed suicide demanding immediate release of Tamil political prisoners and the way he had expressed his desire for Tamil Eelam.

If Tamils continued to remain as victims and were unable to conceive a positive way of taking forward their struggle, they will likely witness more tragic decisions as the one taken by Senthuran, Mr Suntharalingam warned.

The younger generation in the Tamil diaspora should prepare to boldly articulate their views to persons representing the big-powers such as John Kerry, the US Secretary of State and Samantha Power, the US Ambassador to UN, he added.

Norway was involved in brokering the peace process between the Government of Sri Lanka and the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) taking a mediator role as has been the past practice.

Switzerland is currently involved in backing the Singapore principles oriented (2013) secret discourse, which has been steered through South Africa based facilitation.

However, the Tamil activists in these two countries are not bound by the EU ban on the LTTE, which has been used to contain the voices of Tamil activists in the free diaspora.

Eezham Tamils participated in large numbers in the Heroes Day events held across several cities of Europe, North America, New Zealand and Australia on Friday.

Fallen Tamil Eelam sea fighters commemorated in North Sea, Europe

A special remembrance event was organised by Eezham Tamil diaspora activists, including former Sea Tiger fighters, on Friday, in the North Sea of Europe, a non-Tamil solidarity activist told TamilNet providing video clips and photos of the memorial event held on board a boat at the mid-sea. The boat was representing Sea Tiger vessel “M.V. Sofa Maru 2”, the activist further said. Eezham Tamil activists on board the vessel hoisted Tamil Eelam flag and paid floral tributes to the fallen Tamil heroes. The activist didn't want to reveal the location of the event or the details about those who organised the memorial event.

தமிழ் அரசியல் கைதிகளுக்கு பொதுமன்னிப்பு வழங்கினால் இராணுவத்திற்கும் பொது மன்னிப்பு வழங்க வேண்டும் என்று இரண்டு தரப்புக்களையும் ஒப்பிடுவது வேடிக்கையானது என்று வடக்கு மாகாண முதலமைச்சர் சி.வி. விக்கினேஸ்வரன் தெரிவித்துள்ளார். சட்டத்தின்படி அரசியல் கைதிகளுக்கு பிணை வழங்குவதை அரசாங்கம் ஏற்றுக்கொண்டிருப்பதாக தெரிவித்த அவர் அரசியல் தீர்மானத்தின் அடிப்படையில் பொதுமன்னிப்பு வழங்க வேண்டும் என்றும் ஜே.வி.பியினருக்கு அவ்வாறு பொது மன்னிப்பு அளிக்கப்பட்டுள்ளதாகவும் அவர் கூறினார்.

விடுதலைப்புலிகளிடம் இருந்து பிரிந்து அரசாங்கத்துடன் ஒட்டிக் கொண்டிருந்த கருனாவின் காட்டிக் கொடுப்பிலும் கருனாவின் ஓரிரு திட்டமிடலிலுமே அப் பகுதியில் பல பிரிவுகளாக இராணுவ நடவடிக்கைகள் நடந்து கொண்டிருந்தது. கருணா கொடுத்த ஆலோசனை என்னவெனின் புலிகளை ஓயாது தாக்கிக் கொண்டிருங்கள் என்பதும் அவர்களுக்கு ஒரு இடைவெளியை கொடுத்தால் அவர்கள் மீண்டும் கடுமையாக தாக்குவார்கள் என்பதுமே. இதே போல் பல திட்டங்களை வகுத்து இராணுவத்தின் முன்னேற்றத்திற்கு உதவி புரிந்து வந்தான் கருணா. இந் நிலையில் கல்மடுக்குள அணைக்கட்டு புலிகளால் உடைத்து விடப்பட்டு சில இழப்புகள் ராணுவத்திற்கு ஏற்பட்டது. இதனைக் கேள்விப்பட்ட கோத்தபாய அதிர்ச்சியடைந்து கருணாவைத் தொடர்பு கொள்வதற்கு முயன்றார்.

The horrendous nature of genocide needs an international tribunal to dispense justice, and the United Nations and the U.S have failed in their obligations, Boyle said. Geopolitical compulsions have pulverized U.S. foreign policy to collude with the genocidaires, Boyle told TamilNet.
